Joo Joo Baby proudly supports the CJ Foundation for SIDS in their efforts to increase
public awareness of SIDS, reduce the risk of future infant deaths, support families who
have suffered a loss and to fund medical research so that no new families have to endure
the pain of losing their infant.
As a proud sponsor of their Sleep in Safety, Grow in Style campaign, Joo Joo Baby joins the
CJ Foundation to help educate parents and infant caregivers and raise public awareness about
what constitutes a safe sleep environment for infants and how to design their nursery for
safety and style ?– and most importantly, significantly reduce the risk of sleep-related
infant deaths.
Mission
The CJ Foundation for SIDS is a national charitable organization dedicated to recognizing
the special needs of the SIDS community through funding SIDS research, support services and
public awareness programs. The Foundation hopes to increase public awareness of SIDS and to
contribute to a future in which no parent is faced with the tragedy of losing a loved one to SIDS.
Vision
Through the unique ability of the grant making process and the organization’s direct
commitment to cause change, the Vision of the CJ Foundation for SIDS through the millennium is to:
- Establish a high standard of service delivery to SIDS families and
friends through existing and new programs
- Educate both the general public and professionals about SIDS
- Help cause a significant reduction in the SIDS rate
- Identify the cause of SIDS, resulting in its elimination

Joo Joo baby Donates A Beautiful Vision to Cedars-Sinai’s Pediatric ICU
Shortly after Kordestani’s daughter Ayla was born prematurely at Cedars-Sinai
in Los Angeles, she was placed into an incubator in the neonatal Intensive
Care Unit, where she remained for two months. While Ayla remained in the ICU
unit, Kordestani was inspired to create a magical and visually stimulating room
for Ayla when she came home, which is how Joo Joo Baby was born.
Pictured: Kordestani donating a series of Joo Joo Baby designer panels to
Cedars-Sinai PICU, just before the birth of her son Oren, in hopes these panels
will provide cheerful imagery for other parents, patients and visitors during
their often stressful hospital experiences.
